Your Gift Will Make Room For You!

Your gift will make room for you. How many times have we heard that scripture from Proverbs 18:16? But recently, these words have resonated in me without a clear understanding of what he is saying exactly to me. So I looked up the original Hebrew of this scripture and the literal interpretation says that your gift is the ONLY currency to exchange with men of greatness.

So your circle of influence can change when you use the gifts that God has given you. You establish relationships with great men when your gift has proven valuable. This understanding can allow you to realize that if you have ever felt like you were stuck in life—that things are just not changing in your life—then this may be your key to change. We were created in the image of God. We automatically, genetically, and characteristically have a strong desire to want more, be more, and do more with our lives. So don’t waste your gift. Spend time developing your gift through the direction of the Spirit of God.

Don’t feel it is ever too late. We serve the God who redeems time for his people. Go back and redeem the time for yourself. Do it now! Occupy YOUR land. Take possession of your gifting. What do you do well? What is it that you do that others say, “I wish I could do that?” This is the year for promotion, increase, and attainment. Don’t miss out. I believe God needs us to get in our place of gifting this year in preparation for what is to come in future years.

I have been saved over 20 years, however, for the last five years I have been wondering what is it that I should be doing. I was just sitting in the park on yesterday just thanking God for all things and the Holy spirit spoke to me saying, "your gift will make room for you". When I got to the office today (May 4,) there was a letter from my Pastor's wife who works for a battered women shelter asking me to come and share with the women who are living there. As I read your article it really made sense. My gift is what I have to give to the women who have been battered and don't know how to get out. Thanks, for your post.

God is Faithful!
